Dexter N. Barlow

Born in Lowell, MA, was a graduate of Miami Edison High School and Florida State University, Dexter came to Brevard County in 1972 from Dade County where he was a math teacher at Palmetto High School. He worked as a software system analyzer for Radiation, then Digital Equipment Corporation (DEC) in Maynard Mass. and then Harris Corporation in Melbourne. He is a member of Ascension Catholic Church and Brevard Photography Club.

Dexter is survived by his wife, Bonnie Tapp Barlow, daughters Kim Barlow, Nicole Barlow Stevanus, Barbara Barlow Duval and son Greg Barlow(wife Amy Lenhard Barlow). Also known as PopPop and Grandpa, Dexter’s surviving grandchildren are Jared Stevanus, Emily Barlow, Alex Duval, Sarah Barlow, Austin Duval and Lucy Barlow. Dexter has one surviving sister, Ann Barlow Hamilton Defino, and surviving sisters-in-law Penny Tapp Kuche and Dorothy Tapp Danchetz.

Dexter was preceded in death by his father, Erson F. Barlow, his mother Dorothy Smith Barlow, his sister Susan Barlow McMillan(husband Buster McMillan), his brother Erson P. Barlow(wife Gail Barlow), and brothers-in-law Richie Hamilton, Ben Defino, Bill Kuche, Frank Danchetz, and nephews Erson Barlow (infant), Gary Barlow, and Danny Hamilton.

Surviving nieces and nephews include Charlene Barlow Hochreiter, Cherie Barlow Rigley, Kathi Hamilton Blanning, Bill Hamilton, David Hamilton, Jennifer McMillan Blackwell, Bill Kuche, Khristina Danchetz Fallowell, and Milissa Danchetz Simpson.

A Funeral Mass will be held at the Ascension Catholic Church, 2950 North City Harbor Blvd, Melbourne, FL with burial to follow in Ascension Memory Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Dexter Barlow's name to Ascension Catholic School, 2950 North Harbor Blvd, Melbourne, FL 32935.
