Dee was the beloved wife of Earl Kenneth “Ken” Quinn, with whom she shared a life filled with partnership, laughter, and entrepreneurial spirit. Together, they founded The Quinn Co., working as manufacturers’ representatives for Florida treasures and gifts for many years.
She was a devoted mother to her daughter, Candace “Candy” Vodarick (husband Ed Vodarick), and her son, David Quinn. Dee was a proud grandmother to Christopher Vodarick and a cherished great-grandmother to Brody Vodarick and John and Mark Andrews.
Dee is also survived by her brother, Richard Barnett. She was preceded in death by her parents, Marion Barnett and Robert Barnett.
Throughout her life, Dee embraced a wide range of interests and brought enthusiasm and energy to everything she did. She enjoyed table tennis, zip lining, karaoke, and, most of all, having fun and making others smile. A natural performer, Dee had a passion for the arts and was actively involved with the Melbourne Civic Theatre, where she delighted in writing and acting in plays.
Her professional life was equally dynamic. Dee worked at WTVJ television station and as a buyer for Jordan Marsh before embarking on her entrepreneurial journey with Ken.
Dee had a deep love for animals, especially dogs, and over the years she cared for many beloved companions. Her last cherished dog, Pal Joey, whom she and Ken rescued, predeceased her within the past year and a half.
Dee will be remembered for her vibrant spirit, creativity, and the joy she brought to all who knew her. Her warmth, humor, and love of life leave a lasting imprint on her family and friends.
