Donald was raised a simple farm boy in Illinois and joined the military and served a wonderous 21 years in the United States Air Force. His service took him to duty stations all over the world. During this time he met Wilma Roberts and her sons in California and they married in Las Vegas on April 8th, 1967. Shortly after their marriage, Donald and Wilma added to their family with the birth of their daughter, La Dena in 1969. When he retired in 1980, the family was stationed in Hawaii and they relocated back to Brevard County in mid-July. Donald began his career with Harris Corp and eventually retired in the early 90's. With his free time he helped raise his grandchildren. They enjoyed lounging and watching TV and movies - especially the original Ghost Busters.
Donald had a very giving and caring nature. He took great pride in his family's accomplishments. He loved exploring the world of electronics and technology, but also had a keen interest in amateur genealogical record keeping.
Donald is survived by his daughter La Dena Anderson (Christopher); his granddaughter Jessica Marie King (TJ), his grandson CJ Anderson, his grandson Jonathan Anderson (Amber) and his friend Paul.
Donald was preceded in death by his sister Elizabeth Manning and his brother Bill Manning.
A visitation gathering for Donald will be held Saturday, January 8, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.FloridaMemorialFH-Gardens.com for the Manning family.
