He came to Brevard County in 1973 from Copiague, L.I. New York.
Donald ran his own clean up service company, called H&D, after coming to Florida he worked for “Senne Lumber” in the door and trim shop, Mervin’s Department Store and Publix Supermarkets as a Deli Associate before retiring.
He lived in Malabar, FL before moving to “The Great Outdoors” in Titusville. He currently resided at Glenbrook of Palm Bay.
He is survived by his wife, Marjorie (Basil) Wood; daughter, Donna Walkowiak (Bruce); sons, Donald Wood Jr. (Christina) and Daniel Wood, (Diana); 7 grandchildren, Donald, Alison, Eric, Robert, Christina, Rachael and Dillon; and 6 great grandchildren, Dezra, Aden, Ceslie, Hunter, Sienna, and Ashlyn.
Visitation will be at the Life Event Center at Florida Memorial, 5950 South US Highway 1 Rockledge, FL on Friday, June 7, 2019 from 3:00-5:00 pm with the Funeral Service to start at 5:00 pm. A Celebration of life will be held on Saturday, June 8, 2019 at the Veterans Center on Minton Rd in West Melbourne from 3:00-8:00pm.
Donald’s body is being donated to Florida Anatomical Association in order to help others.
