Dorothy Aiello

Dorothy Aiello formerly of Kingston, New York passed away at 11:46pm on February 9th, 2011 at the VNA Hospice House in Vero Beach, Florida. She was born on Staten Island, New York on September 22, 1922. She was the daughter of Eduardo and Anna Maria Severino of Avellino, Italy. In 1937, she married the love of her life, Joseph Aiello also of Staten Island. Together they had seven children, Michael of Middletown, NY, Edward of Cocoa, Florida, Dorothy DiGuida of Middletown, NY, Joyce Ann Baggatta of Galax, Virginia, Joseph of Saugerties, NY; James of Vero Beach, FL; and Anna Marie Markle of Virginia Beach, Virginia.

She was pre-deceased by her husband Joseph Aiello on January 31, 1995, her daughter Joyce Ann Baggatta on November 28th, 2010, and grandson Michael Aiello on May 11, 2000.

Dorothy and her husband Joesph enjoyed cooking together and they ran their own deli and diner businesses for years in Kingston and Middletown, NY. They were known by all their friends and family for their strong faith in God, great cooking and wonderful hospitality. The parties where always at their house and their love for all of us and for each other was always present.

She was a member of the Saugerties Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses for many years before moving to Cocoa, Florida and then Virginia Beach, with her daughter Anna Marie.

She is survived by her children Michael and Alice Aiello, Edward Aiello, Dorothy (Cookie} and Louie Diguida, Lonnie Baggatta, Joseph and Laura Aiello, James Aiello-Gillespie and her son in-law Michael Gillespie, Anna Marie and Clint Markle, Daughter in-law Rosie Lempka; as well as her many grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by all who new and loved her.
