Edd Allen Lindsey, age 81, passed away August 28, 2018. He is survived by his wife, Minnie Sue, his children, Edd Allen II, Wilson, Larry, and Ann, two brothers, Jack and Mike, seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Allen retired from IBM in Lexington, Kentucky in 1970. The family then spent the next five years in New Hampshire where he worked in the photo typesetting business. Shoveling snow was not his idea of fun, so when he had the opportunity to move to Florida, he readily accepted a position with Harris Corporation. This allowed him to play golf, enjoy the ocean, attend car races, and drive around in his Corvette convertible the year round. After a brief time period working for Harris, he resigned and started his own business and never left. Allen was happiest when surrounded by his family. He will be remembered as a kind and loving husband, father, brother, grandparent and friend.
A memorial service will be held at Azan Shriner's Center, 1591 W. Eau Gallie Blvd, Melbourne on September 8, 2018 and 2:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the Shriner's Hospitals for Children.
