Edgar E. Thompson, Jr., 66, of Rockledge, died Sunday July 4th while flying his personal helicopter in Titusville. He is survived by Margaret, his wife of 46 years; children, Neil, Mark (Kyung) and Jill (Mark Lightner). He retired from Lockheed-Martin in 1999 and was well know on the Space Coast as a blues musician. He was also an avid aviator spending much of his time building and flying ultralight aircraft. Eddy will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. There will be a celebration of Eddy’s life at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 10, 2010 at Florida Memorial Funeral Home.
