Elijah C. Minor, 92, passed away March 3, 2011. Mr. Minor was born on July 3, 1918 to Richard Minor and Cynthia Roberts in Wise, Virginia.
Mr. Minor was enlisted with the U.S. Army and was employed as an Union Electrician. He was an accomplished Bluegrass musician and recording artist.
Mr. Minor is survived by his son, Gerald Minor; daughter, Patricia Schossow; 6 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; 10 great great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife, Frances; 7 brothers, and one sister.
A visitation will be held Tuesday, March 8, 2011 at 1p.m. -2 p.m. at Florida Memorial Funeral Home, with a funeral service to follow.
