Born in Guatemala City, Guatemala
went to be with our Lord on October 20, 2026, in Palm Bay, Florida
With heavy hearts and faith in God’s eternal love, we announce that our beloved father, Emilio Hernandez Velasquez fell asleep in the Lord peacefully surrounded and embraced by family.
Emilio was a loving, hardworking, protective, and strong man who devoted his life to providing for his family. He was disciplined and very strict, but beneath his firm ways was a father who cared deeply and wanted the best for his children. At the end of each workweek, he came home and made sure their mother had everything she needed for the family. Through his sacrifices, protection, and determination, he showed his love in ways his family would understand more deeply with time.
His strictness helped shape his children into the people they are today. He taught them responsibility, perseverance, and the value of hard work. Though his methods were sometimes tough, his lessons and example became a lasting foundation for his family.
Among the memories his loved ones will always cherish is a childhood visit to Grenel Park. Emilio and a friend were barbecuing chicken, and after enjoying themselves a little too much, they cooked it until it was nearly black and barely edible. The family laughed together, and his daughter remembers telling him she would never eat black chicken again. This funny memory reflects the warmth, laughter, and togetherness that remain part of his legacy.
Emilio leaves behind his beloved children, Roxana, Manny, Glenda, and Ana, and his cherished grandchildren, Courtney, Tiffany, Brandon, Zoe, and Aisea. His love, strength, sacrifices, and guidance will continue through every generation of his family.
Though their hearts are broken, his family finds comfort in faith and trusts that God has welcomed Emilio into eternal peace. They believe he is now resting in the loving arms of his Heavenly Father, free from the burdens of this earthly life.
Dad, thank you for working so hard, protecting us, teaching us, and helping shape who we are. We may not have always understood your ways when we were young, but we now recognize the love and sacrifice behind them. Your lessons, laughter, memories, and legacy will remain in our hearts forever.
May God grant you eternal rest, Dad, and may His perpetual light shine upon you. You will be loved, missed, and remembered always.
Christ is risen!!! May your memory be eternal!!!
