

Emilio Jorge. Power, 84, of Melbourne, Florida, passed away peacefully on Christmas Day, December 25, 2024. Born in Havana, Cuba, in 1940, Emilio earned a degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Miami in 1965. He had a distinguished career, working at Cape Canaveral on the Atlas rocket program and was a co-founder of Reliable System Services Corporation in 1986 where he worked for 35 years.
Emilio was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend, known for his kindness, strong character, and sense of humor. His family and friends will forever remember him for his love, dedication, and the positive impact he had on everyone around him.
Emilio was a world traveler, an avid hobbyist and an excellent cook. His hobbies included saltwater fishing, a vast collection of Florida tree snails and deep ocean sea shells and a Senior High Master Rifle shooter.
He is survived by his wife, Adriana; his children, Emilio Jose and Jorge Luis; and his grandchildren, Sofia Rose, Edward Joseph, and Victoria Margaret.
A Funeral Mass celebrating his life will be held at Our Lady of Lourdes (1710 Hickory St, Melbourne, FL 32901) on Saturday, January 4th, 2025 at 1 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital at www.stjude.org.
Emilio’s legacy of love, integrity, and achievement will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. May he rest in peace.
