He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Ellie Baugher. He is survived by the family of his heart as he lovingly called them all. Vasiliki Hoberg (daughter), Marianna Heuermann (granddaughter) and great grandsons, Nikolas and Phillip Heuermann.
He served his country and retired as a US Navy Chief after a long and honorable career. Serving in three wars – World War II, Korea and Vietnam. He was well known for his colorful Naval stories.
He will be greatly missed and his passing has left a great void in the lives of those who knew and loved him.
Ernest was a kind, gentle soul with a big heart that was always willing to help. He had a mischievous twinkle in his eye that always lit up the room and made others around him laugh.
There will be a viewing held from 5-7pm on Thursday, October 26, 2017 at the Life Event Center at Florida Memorial in Rockledge, FL. Interment will be at East Lawn Palms Cemetery in Tucson, AZ on Monday, October 30, 2017, where he will be laid to rest with his beloved wife, Ellie.
