Frances L Peterson, 94, of Satellite Beach went to be with the Lord on Friday, July 15, 2016. She was born in Syenchen, North Korea on August 30, 1921. Fran grew up in North Korea and was fluent in Korean language.
A loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother and friend she will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Fran was an active member of Trinity Wellsprings Presbyterian Church she served in overseas missions with Sonakhla Refugee Camp in Thailand and with the Fisherman ministry on the DMZ in Korea. Known for her gracious hospitality to all, Fran also authored three books, The Third Daughter, A Tale of Two Bamboos and The Eagle and The Egret.
She is survived by her daughter, Anne Helsby Young; her step-daughter, Bonnie Gruetzmacher, five grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren. Fran is preceded in death by two husbands, two sons and seven siblings.
There will be a Celebration of Her Life held at 11am on Monday, August 1, 2016 at Trinity Wellsprings Presbyterian Church in Satellite Beach. There will be an ice cream social held in her honor immediately following.
