Francis "Frank" J. Schweitzer, 94, died Wednesday, April 8, 2015 at Viera Hospital. He was born in Philadelphia to Harry and Catherine Schweitzer. He served during WWII in the U.S. Army and was a recepient of the Purple Heart. Frank was the Superintendent of Postal Operations in Philadelphia.
He was a member of the Military Order of the Purple Heart, the Knights of Columbus, American Legion, Loyal Order of the Moose, and the BPO of Elks.
Frank is survived by his wife Marisabel; son Charles F. Schweitzer; daughter, Adrienne M. Cimino; and step-child, Rebecca Kelly.
Frank was preceded in death by his son Francis, Jr.; his brother Harry, his sister Catherine M. Anthony and Capt. Jerry Wilson.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at Divine Mercy Catholic Church in Merritt Island on Wednesday, April 22nd at 11am. Entombment will follow at Florida Memorial Gardens.
