Frank worked for NASA as an Aerospace Scientist for 38 years and held five patents within the aerospace industry. He received The Exceptional Service Award, which is the Federal Government's highest civilian award, as well as the KSC Employee of the Year Award. He was a member of Journey Church and the Board of Professional Engineers.
Frank is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Linda; three children, Mark T. Howard, Leah H. (Gerald) Showalter, and Rev. Carol H. (Rev. Brian) Merritt; four grandchildren, Sebastian, Chad, Calla, and Jacqueline; two sisters, Cheryl Craig and Merle Gregory; and one step-brother, Jim Saxon.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, May 12, 2011 from 6-8 pm at Florida Memorial Funeral Home, with a memorial service taking place on Friday, May 13, 2011 at 2:00 at the First United Methodist Church of Melbourne.
