

Frank retired from Chrysler/General Dynamics after 32 years of service and moved with his family to Florida permanently in 1988.
Frank received a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering Degree from Michigan State University. Frank held various positions as Supervising Engineer in the Chrysler Space Program and General Dynamics Abrams Tank Project, design and production testing.
Frank served 3 years in the Army as a student and Signal Corps, telephone telegraph lineman. He was stationed at various posts along the Stilwell-Burma Road in China-Burma - India. Several years after being discharged Frank joined the China-Burma-India Veterans Association, Motor City Basha and was elected Basha Commander shortly thereafter. Frank and Lucille moved to Florida and he joined the Space Coast Basha and was elected and served as Commander for three years. He volunteered to represent the CBI Basha in the Brevard Veterans Council and joined the council in 1990. Since that time he has been Chairman of the Executive Board (1991-1994) Vice Chairman of the council, Vice President of the Veterans Memorial Center and then Chairman and president of the Council and Center.
Frank served on several committees of the Council, the Council Board of Directors and the Center Executive Board. He also served as the Provost Marshal for the Florida State Department of CBIVA.
Brevard Community College awarded Frank the Noah Award in 1995 for Community Service. Frank was past President of the Space Coast Michigan State University Alumni Club for 10 years. He was a member of the Board of Directors of the Canaveral Section American Society of Mechanical Engineers and a registered Professional Engineer in the State of Louisiana.
Frank is survived by his son Barry Kunze (Sonja), daughter Glenna Raidt (Dan), grandson Evan Raidt and sister Alvine Shaughnessey, numerous nieces and nephews and his cat Belle. Frank is preceded in death by his wife of 60 years Lucille.
There will be a visitation held from 2-3pm on Saturday, June 9 at the Life Event Center at Florida Memorial followed by a 3pm funeral service. Entombment will be at Florida Memorial Gardens.
