Franklin A. Ingraham
April 19, 1936 – April 20, 2019
Franklin August Ingraham, age 83 died at Cape Canaveral Hospital on April 20, 2019, after a long battle with congestive heart failure.
Mr. Ingraham was born in Gary, Indiana in 1936 to parents, Benjamin and Bertha Ingraham. He entered the United States Marine Corp August 1955 and retired September 1975 with the rank of Master Sergeant. He served in the Vietnam War from October 1967 – October 1968. He earned the Meritorious Mast; Good Conduct Metal w/5 stars; Meritorious Unit Citation; Expert Badge Pistol and Badge Rifle.
After his retirement from the U.S.M.C. he was hired by Lockheed Martin, where he held various positions and his last position he served as the Supervisor of Crane Operations for NASA Space Shuttle Program.
He married Zola Mae Turner on December 23, 1954 and remained married until her death in 2015. They had 3 children, Robert Franklin Ingraham (predeceased); Richard August Ingraham and Zola Diane Ingraham. He has one grandchild, Megan Victoria Stillwell and one great-grandchild, Landon Carter Stillwell. His nieces, Rita Christiani, Doreen Christiani (Jim Swick ) Grace Christiani, Judy Lowe and Cynthia Ingraham.
A Visitation will be held on Friday, April 26, 2019 from 1:00pm to 2:00pm at the Life Event Center at Florida Memorial, 5950 South US highway 1, Rockledge, FL with a Funeral Service to follow at 2:00pm.
