Galina Centore

Galina Centore, 95, of West Melbourne, Florida, passed away peacefully on May 12, 2022 in Vitas Hospice Unit in Rockledge. Born in Daugavpils, Latvia, she played piano and spoke many languages, which helped her survive growing up in Europe during WWII as an interpreter and telephone operator, and later working for the United Nations. She was preceded in death by her husband of over 59 years Joseph Centore, and brother Juris Feodorovs. She leaves behind an identical twin sister, Irina Ruffo (Sam-deceased), and two children, Lorie Swift (Norm) and Jim Centore (Sherri). Funeral services will be held at Florida Memorial Gardens, at 5950 S. US Highway 1, Rockledge, FL 32955.
