Gardner Wyman Ashton, 84, passed away February 21, 2011. Mr. Ashton was born on May 25, 1926 to Gordon Robert Ashton and Theophita Beauregard Ashton in Essex, Vermont. Mr. Ashton served our country in World War II. He was a mechanic in the aerospace industry and was previously employed with Johnson Controls. He was a member of the American Legion and enjoyed fishing.
Mr. Ashton is survived by his wife of 58 years, Natalie Ashton; his sons Paul (Caryn); Gardner Jr. (Radella); James (Julianna); Wyman (June); 14 Grandchildren; and 6 Great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held Wednesday, March 2, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Florida Memorial Funeral Home. Arrangements are entrusted to Florida Memorial Funeral Home.
