Garrett left this world at the age of 56 on November 30, 2023, in a tragic auto accident on the freeway. He departed instantly, spared from suffering, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, intelligence, and love.
Garrett, born in Tokyo, Japan, was the eldest son of U.S. Air Force Maj. Garrett L. Clark and Alice Lee Clark. At the tender age of two, he made his way to Brevard County, Florida, where he spent the majority of his remarkable life. A proud graduate of Cocoa High School, Garrett's brilliance and intellectual curiosity was evident from a young age, boasting a college graduate reading level by the 6th grade.
Throughout his career, Garrett excelled as an engineer, leading teams of software and hardware professionals in various companies on the Space Coast. His dedication to his craft and leadership skills were unmatched, leaving an indelible mark on the technological landscape of the community he called home.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, Garrett found joy in flying model RC planes, immersing himself in video games, and delving into the world of literature. His diverse interests reflected a man who embraced the richness of life and encouraged those around him to do the same.
However, it was in the role of a father that Garrett truly shone. Connor and Vanessa Clark were the lights of his life, and he dedicated his time and energy to ensuring their success and happiness. His love for them was immeasurable, and his guidance will continue to resonate in their lives.
Garrett's warmth and kindness were renowned, leaving an unforgettable impact on his extensive family and a vast circle of friends. His genuine care for others created bonds that will endure, even in his absence.
