

Giulia Bushnell of Melbourne, Florida passed away on Tuesday, 27 March 2018, at her home. She was born Giulia Anna Carmela Brunetti to Gaetano Brunetti and Rosa D'Andrea in Naples, Italy on 11 July 1928. While serving as an interpreter at the U.S. Consulate in Naples, she met and later married LT Thomas M. Bushnell Jr on 19 January 1947. He preceded her in death on 24 July 2005. Mrs. Bushnell came to the U.S. as a war bride in December 1947, and became a proud U.S. citizen in January 1948. As a military wife, she lived in Washington State, Virginia, Oklahoma, and Texas, as well as Germany and Trieste.
Mrs. Bushnell was the proud mother of two daughters who survive her: Rosa Pluimer (David Sr.) of Remington, Indiana, and Lori Bushnell of Tampa, Florida. She is also survived by two grandsons whom she adored,: David Pluimer, Jr. and Tom Pluimer, as well as four great-grandchildren: Benjamin, Isaac, Joel and Annelise Pluimer.
A Funeral service will be held on Monday, April 2, 2018 at 3:00pm at the Life Event Center at Florida Memorial, 5950 South US Highway 1, Rockledge, FL
Her family was the center of her life, and as she loved them she was loved in return, tenfold. She will be sorely missed by family and friends alike.
