He is survived by his children; Duane Stockton (Nancy), Danae Alonso (Randy), David Stockton (Sandy), Dale Stockton (Sharon). He was a beloved papa to 12 grandchildren: Christopher Stockton, Johnathan Stockton, Philip Stockton, Benjamin Stockton, M’Lisa Newell, Ryan Alonso, Kyle Stockton, Kevin Stockton, Nathan Stockton, Jordan Figura, Lauren Figura, and Mikayla Stockton. As well as a beloved great grandpa to 14 great-grandchildren; Talia Stockton, Aiden Stockton, Jude Figura, Judah Alonso, Brielle Alonso, Kaden Stockton, Kegan Stockton, Mckenzie Stockton, Tanner Steen, Carson Steen (deceased), Audrey Steen, Paisley Stockton, Grace Campbell, and River Stockton.
Glenn attended church at Akron Baptist Temple as a youth and his love for Christ drove him into full-time service. He followed God’s leading to become a Pastor and attended Bible Baptist College in Springfield, Missouri. He and his wife Sarah first served at First Baptist Church in Milford, Ohio, and then moved to Youngstown, Ohio a few years later and he served as Pastor at Youngstown Baptist Church from 1966 to 1980. While in Youngstown, many came to know Christ, and many followed God’s calling into full-time service under his ministry. While they loved the people in Youngstown and the church was flourishing, Glenn felt led to a smaller church in Decatur, Illinois, and he pastored there for several years before making his final move to Melbourne, Florida where he served and pastored at Calvary Baptist Church until he retired in 2000. But he never really retired … he was an evangelist who traveled and spoke at Missions Conferences and filled the pulpit for pastors all over Florida and even outside the State. He had a passion for Christ and sharing the gospel with anyone he met. He was also a member of the Heritage Baptist Church and loved his church family.
He also took pride in being a veteran of the United States Navy.
In his final days, St. Francis Reflections took great care of Glenn and the family is eternally grateful for their love and care.
A visitation for Glenn will be held Friday, June 2, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Calvary Baptist Church, 2980 North Wickham Road, Melbourne, Florida, followed by a funeral service at 6:30 PM.
