Jim will be lovingly remembered by his daughters Teresa Pokorny, Donna Henderson (David), Jane Morgan (Boyd), and Lori Morgan (Mike) and his grandchildren Jonathan, Amanda, Kristen, Brian, Chase, Lance and Jenna as well as twenty-one great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents Joseph and Dorothy Slater, sister Charlotte and grandson Brandon.
Jim lived in West Virginia until joining the Air Force after which he moved to Washington, DC. He remained in the DC area until relocating, with his family, to Rockledge in 1970.
Services will be held on August 21, 2026 at the Life Event Center at Florida Memorial Gardens, 5950 S. US 1, Rockledge, FL. Visitation is scheduled for 10:30AM with a Celebration of Life beginning at 11:00AM. Burial will take place immediately following the service, after which a reception will be held in the Life Event Center.
