Jayne, I am so very sorry Chick is gone. My mom (Elaine) , Joey Cucchiara and myself always enjoyed our time spent with two of you. It was such a joy to see the laughter, joy and laughter when Chick would tell his many stories. They would talk about the past and we would all laugh. My mom was so proud of all his accomplishments. She would tell him how proud his mother ( Claire) would be. I remember grammy Claire say to mom and I how proud of him with his printing press company. The relationship he and my mom had was something really special.

I worked with Harry many many years ago while at Scott Foresman Publishing in Illinois and also while in Boston.  I was early in my career and I remember (during the days of Grafacon) when we would meet. it was almost always for dinner or lunch and had one requirement.. that I pick the restaurant and it be one of the best in Chicagoland.. so thanks to Harry I experienced the best of the best from “The Everest Room” to  “Charlie Trotters” to “LeTiti de Paris” where he had me picked up at work in  a limo to take me to the restaurant..  I remember he kept a card with him to find certain vintages of Mouton Rothschild wines.. I believe we drank a 1937 vintage.  I was too young to fully appreciate the experience but not his overwhelming kindness.  I recall picking up 2 bottles of wine for him from Christie’s auction and was terrified if I was in an accident, the wine would cost more than the car! They were all great memories.   I now live in Madeira and he  and Jane would have loved it here.. most assuredly for the great wines.  I will remember him always.

We’ve only known Happy Harry and Lady Jayne for a  few years, yet it feels like so much longer! He will be missed!!!  Richard, Cathy, and Stella😇

Some people learn to be entrepreneurs. Others are born to it. Harry was one of the latter. He was a true visionary, always thinking of better ways to do something. Have you ever seen the beach umbrellas that screw into the sand? Harry thought of that 35 years ago. But most important to us, he cared deeply for our sister.

I had the privilege of working with Harry and being his brother in-law and friend. He will be sorely missed by my wife Marilyn and I and there is certainly a hole in the universe today.

We were so sorry to hear about Harry's passing. We always looked forward to seeing him outside when we were out walking Ozzie & Teddy.  They always looked forward to seeing him and getting some attention and he always enjoyed seeing them.  
I always looked forward to our conversations...they ranged from the local issues he was championing, to discussing our health issues. It meant a lot to me that the day before my back surgery, Harry made sure to be outside when I came by with the dogs...he wanted to make sure he was able to personally wish me well.
Harry was truly a good person and friend...we will miss him.

Harry's self-written obituary told us what he did during his life; it did not tell us who he was.  Harry was: kind, extremely intelligent, intuitive, loyal to friends and family, insightful, generous with his time and his resoures, big hearted, LOUD, bigger than life, creative, combative at times, unconventional, dedicated, persuasive, innovative, and a wonderful friend.  He was also an enigma.  While friendly to everyone, he had a small circle of trusted friends.  He built his house at the busiest intersection in York but he let few people onto his deck and fewer people into his heart.
Harry had high standards in his personal and in his professional life.  For all of his outward sophistication he was naive in one way-he expected other people to meet his standards and to treat him as he treated them.  Few people  have the ability or selflessness to be Harry.  At times, he was disappointed because someone did not live up to his standards.  That caused him to keep his circle of confidants small but, amazingly, it did not cause him to alter his behavior.  He was always willing to help anyone in need; he was always willing to take on a cause to right a wrong regardless of the breadth of the issue; he was always willing to mentor people starting out so they could be successful; he was always willing to help fix something or to create a solution for a problem that was affecting someone; he was willing to stand in the cold on York beach when Jayne and I did our polar plunge once a month for twelve consecutive months; and, he was willing to bartend for his friends and to sit by in his sober state watching their antics.

Harry was one of a kind-I will miss him.  I'd like to give Jayne and Harry's family some advice my mother gave me (in one of the many notes she left for me to find after she died): Miss me; don't mourn me; God knows best.

These are a few of the memories of Harry that we keep close to our hearts. Jayne’s “40th” was the best party ever.  Harry’s “50th” was a fun day with lobster, hitting golf balls from the deck and finding treasures in his yard. His kindness for giving Jim and Mary an ocean view in their later years in life. Also cannot forget all the great trips to Hawaii.
   He was generous, opinionated but honest and always catered to your every need.  We miss you Harry (my brother) and thank you for loving Jayne so much.

I worked with Harry for many years on Marco Island.  He helped me to stay sane while running a vacation rental company.  He made everyone's jobs easier and he surely made us laugh.  He'd always call me briefly on Tuesdays and tell me not to panic but he was going to be unreachable for a few hours while he took his "girlfriend", Jayne, to a matinee.  That was a major priority for him.  The two of them inspired me to want a marriage like them, the best of friends.  I am so grateful to have gotten to know him and that they took me in as family.  God bless you all.  I know he will be greatly missed.

The first time I met Harry was over 20 years ago when my husband worked for Xerox.  Harry was in town for a Xerox thing and Bill asked him to have dinner with him and me.  Harry was staying at a Hotel at the Baltimore Inter-Harbor so we agreed to meet him in the lobby after work.  I was the first to arrive and saw this man setting in the lobby so I went up to him and ask him if he was Harry.  He looked at me with a grin on his face and said I don't know let me check and he looked down his shirt!  I knew right away this was someone special and l loved him from that point on.  My husband and I have loved Harry and Jayne for as long as we have known them.   Harry adored Jayne and we loved being around them.  He was just a wonderful person to know and have a conversation with. 
 I have never known anyone so engaging, intelligence, kind and down to earth as Harry.  He could always see so clearly what others struggled to see.  I am crying writing this because he will forever be in my heart and he is now part of my soul.  I love and will miss you Harry!! Karen Ludwig   (aka Ms. Piggy)

Jayne: I'm so sorry to hear about Harry. I know he was the love of your life and you were his.  What a character he was! One of a kind. I know you all had a wonderful adventure filled life together. Remember all the good times and hold them dear.  May you Rest in Peace Harry.

He was a true friend.  He helped me run the board of directors at the Monaco.  A great mind and boundless enthusiasm impressed everyone he met.  Although he would not formally join the board it was obvious to all his imprint led the way to help turn things around. 
He will be missed and I thank him for all he has done  Rest in Peace my friend.

We played tennis together for many years.  Harry had a great sense of humor and was a good friend.  He was always willing to help anyone who needed him.  He will be truly missed.
