She was born in Holton, KS on June 29, 1926 the daughter of Charles Brownfield and Ethel Yost.
Helen worked as a sales consultant for Tupperware and was also very active in the Woman of the church ministry and a volunteer at First United Methodist Church of Cocoa. She was a great role model in her life’s journey and will be forever missed by many.
Helen was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister, she is survived by her husband Wanless L Damron; her son, Allen Rudy and Edwina Rudy; her daughter, Carol Hughes and her husband Tyson; her step-sons, Stephen Damron, Christopher Damron and his wife Lettitia; nine grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren and her brother, Charles Brownfield. Helen is preceded in death by her parents Charles Brownfield and Ethel Yost; her daughters, Barbra Sue Rudy, Katherine Mott Franz; her grandson, Michael Mott and her brother Bob Brownfield.
There will be a visitation from 6-8pm on Wednesday, May 27 at the Life Event Center at Florida Memorial. A celebration of her life will be held at 10am on Thursday, May 28 at First United Methodist of Cocoa. Interment will take place at Florida Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to First United Methodist Church of Cocoa.
