Henry "Hank" M. Kornmeyer

Henry "Hank" Kornmeyer, beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, veteran, and friend, passed away peacefully on July 13, 2026, at the age of 90.

Born in Foster Township, Lucerne County, Pennsylvania, Hank lived a life defined by faith, integrity, hard work, humility, and an unwavering devotion to his family. From his humble beginnings in northeastern Pennsylvania, his life's journey would take him across the United States and around the world, yet he never lost the values that shaped him as a young man.

Hank proudly served his country in the United States Army as a helicopter mechanic before beginning a distinguished career with Pan American World Airways during the dawn of the jet age. Through dedication, skill, and an uncompromising commitment to safety, he advanced from aircraft mechanic to positions of leadership in aircraft maintenance, planning, and operations.

Later, he accepted a position as an Operations Analyst with Johnson Controls World Services, supporting the Space Shuttle Processing Project at Kennedy Space Center. Throughout his career, Hank earned the respect of those who worked beside him through his honesty, practical wisdom,

and quiet leadership.

While Hank enjoyed a remarkable career, the greatest work of his life was loving his family.

He shared a lifetime of love with his beloved wife, Rose, building a marriage rooted in faith, laughter, adventure, and unwavering devotion. Together they raised three children and created a

home filled with love, encouragement, and cherished memories. Whether taking his children boating, fishing, and water skiing on the waters of Long Island, cheering from the sidelines at

soccer games, track meets, football games, field hockey matches, and later proudly attending his grandchildren's sporting events, Hank believed the greatest gift he could give his family was his

time. No matter where life led them, they always knew he would be there.

A man of deep faith, Hank's relationship with God guided every aspect of his life. He lived his beliefs through quiet acts of kindness, generosity, and service. In retirement, he became an active Fourth Degree member of the Knights of Columbus and faithfully served Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church. He generously volunteered his time preparing meals for college students at Florida Institute of Technology and supporting the Special Olympics, finding great joy in serving others and making a difference in the lives of those around him. During those years, he

especially treasured the time he spent golfing with his grandson, Douglas, proudly inviting him to join his foursome for church golf tournaments—memories they both cherished.

An avid fisherman and lifelong traveler, Hank found peace on the water and joy in discovering new places with those he loved. He appreciated the beauty of God's creation and embraced every

opportunity to share life's adventures with his family. His calm nature, gentle humor, steady wisdom, and willingness to help others made him someone people naturally admired, respected,

and trusted.

To know Hank was to know a man who believed that success was never measured by titles or accomplishments, but by faith, family, friendships, and the time invested in the people he loved.

Hank is survived by his loving wife, Rose of 70 years; his children, Steve (Trisha), Karen (Jeff), and Laura; his grandchildren, Jennifer (Eliso II), Jason (Jeanette), Justin (Shereen), Taylor (Ashley), Dylan (Stephanie), Douglas (Emily), and Christopher; his cherished great-grandchildren, Naomi, Eliseo III, Jonas, Julia, Luke, Benjamin, Addison, Owen, and Jackson; and his beloved sister, Nancy.

Though our hearts are saddened by his passing, we celebrate a life filled with faith, purpose, service, and love. His legacy lives on in the family he cherished, the lives he touched, and the countless memories that will forever be treasured by those who knew him.

We find comfort in knowing that he has been welcomed into the loving arms of our Lord, reunited with those who have gone before him, and that one day we will see him again.
