Hubert C. Childress Jr., age 73, of Merritt Island entered into rest Monday, July 24, 2017. Bert was born in Butte, Montana on January 24, 1944 and was a veteran of the United States Navy. He worked as an attorney for Childress and Charpentier, PA in Melbourne, Florida.
Bert is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Wendy Childress; son, Eric Childress; daughters, Nikki Lonergan, Holly Zarski, and April Clark; grandchildren, Carly Childress, Brandon Polk, Bradyn, Talan, Rylan, Kellyn, and Arabelle Lonergan, Asher Zarski, and Foster Clark; great-grandchild, Lucy Fines
Bert enjoyed good humor, motorcycles, was a lover of animals, had an adventurous and kind-hearted spirit, but most of all he loved his family.
Bert requested a small private funeral with his immediate family.
