James Sanders Burttram Jr., 14, of Melbourne, FL left this earth on August 23rd surrounded by friends and family. James was born a Holmes Regional Medical Center on May 8th, 2012 to parents April Lynne Halfacre and James Sanders Burttram, Sr.
Throughout his life, James was a ray of sunshine that lit up every room the moment he arrived. He was full of energy, curiosity, and laughter. He had sparking blue eyes that reflected cheer and a bit of mischief. He easily connected with others, whether young or old. James knew no strangers. He was adventurous to the core and spent hours a day on his e-bike. He was an avid fisherman, spending as much time as possible fishing at Sebastian Inlet or Lake Washington.
James' sudden death was a shock to everyone who knew him. He was healthy, happy, and had his whole life ahead of him. James was deeply loved by his friends and family, who saw the kindness and sensitivity in his nature. James' death has left a hole in the hearts of everyone who knew and loved him.
James is survived by his parents; his brother Brayden Halfacre; his Nana and Pa, Patricia and Ronnie Halfacre; his aunt, Kristen Granato; his cousin, Anthony Granato; his Mimi, Melynne Chiariello; his best friend, Oliver; and a host of loving uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Lake Washington Park on September 5th, at 2 pm, and all are invited to attend. There will be a viewing on September 7th from 4 to 6 pm at the Life Event Center at Florida Memorial Gardens at 5950 South US-1, Rockledge, FL 32955, and a burial at 11 am on September 8th in the Central Park area of Florida Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to Orlando Health Arnold Palmer Children's Hospital, who provided tremendous care and support to James and the family, especially Berlin and Nurse Joan.
