He was a firefighter retiring as Captain from the City of Melbourne Fire Department. He was also employed by Melbourne Tillman Water Control and was a lifetime carpenter. As an avid outdoorsman he enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Mr. Postlewait was known as the most laid back man ever, with a dry sense of humor. If you want to make him laugh, trip and fall down. His passions include being in the woods, playing cards for a penny a point, and watching his granddaughters compete in horse shows. He loved to travel and completed his “Bucket List”. He always had a funny story to tell.
Survivors include his wife Alice of 45 years; daughters Debbie Campos and Darlene Music; son Dwayne (Heather) Postlewait; sister Kathryn Moore; 6 grandchildren Barry, Adam, Dainya, Jared, Hannah, Riley and 8 great-grandchildren.
Interment will be at Florida Memorial Gardens with a celebration of life to be held at a later date.
In accordance with the current regulations a private family service will be held Friday, April 17th at 3:00. A Facebook live stream will be available for viewing by visiting www.facebook.com/FloridaMemorialFuneral
