Jim worked for the United States Postal Serv ice and was a veteran of the US Marines. He was also a member of Palmdale Presbyterian, American Legion, Moose Lodge and the Elks.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Genevieve (Stape); three children, Shirley (Roger) Carpenter of Melbourne, Brent (PJ) Summersgill of Winter Springs, and Rene (Dan) Piazza of Melbourne; four grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Calling hours will be from 11 am to 1 pm, Wednesday, May 25 , 2011 at Florida Memorial Funeral Home. Memorial service with reception to follow at Palmdale Presbyterian at 2 pm.
