

Janice Mary Morgan Hord, 78 of Satellite Beach passed away on Monday, October 28, 2019 in Palm Bay, Florida. She was born in Springfield, Ohio and came to Brevard County in 2015 from Advance, North Carolina. Before retirement, she worked as an elementary school teacher for the Utica Public School Department in Utica, Michigan. She was also a member of the Satellite Beach Women’s Club and the National Education Association.
She is survived by her husband of 57 years; Kenneth F. Hord, daughter and son-in-law; Sheryl and Glenn Hartshorn, son and daughter-in-law; David and Tammy Hord, daughter and son-in-law; Amber and Donald Helme, grandson and granddaughter-in-law; Kenneth and Colleen Hartshorn, granddaughter and grandson-in-law; Alyssa and Gavin Schulte, grandsons; Garrett Hartshorn and Donald Helme, granddaughter; Miranda Helme, step-grandson; Johnny McGinness, step granddaughter; Amy McGinness, great-grandson; Korbin Hartshorn, great-granddaughter; Sienna Hartshorn, and sister and brother-in-law; Judy and Dave Lewis.
A visitation will be on Friday, November 1, 2019 from 6-8pm at the Life Event Center at Florida Memorial, 5950 US HWY 1 Rockledge, Florida 32955. A funeral service will be held at the Life Event Center on Saturday, November 2, 2019 at 10am with entombment to follow in Florida Memorial Gardens
