Jean R. Meeks, 88, of Satellite Beach, FL., passed away at home in the company of family and friends on October 17, 2012. She was born and raised in Camden, NY. She was the daughter of Ruth Marie Blount and Robert Frazier Robson.

Jean was predeceased by her husband, William H. Meeks Sr. Together they owned and operated Drover's Inn in Canastota, NY. She was also predeceased by her son, William H. Meeks, Jr., and her sister, Margaret Robson.

She is survived by her daughters, Betty Jean (William) Sullivan of Taberg, NY, Linda (Terry) MacFarland of Melbourne, FL, Bonnie (Roger) Orendorff of Ormond Beach, FL, Irene (Anthony) Nelson of Canastota, NY, Roxanne (Walter) Gohringer of Canastota, NY, Phyllis (Frank) Hopkins of Rockledge, FL, Rita (Chris) Lewis of Satellite Beach, FL; and sons, Robert Meeks of Holly Hill, FL and Richard (Sherry) Meeks of Unionville, TN; her daughter-in-Law, Linda (Meeks) Mellen; and by her brothers, John (Marge) Robson of Camden, NY and Richard Robson of Dillonvale, OH; and many grand children and many great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service was held Saturday, 2:00-4:00, at the Florida Memorial Funeral Home in Rockledge, FL.
