Jeanne M. Schmidt, 86, of Merritt Island, Florida passed away on Saturday, June 22, 2019 at Courtenay Springs Village in Merritt Island. She was born in New York, New York and came to Brevard County in 1977 from Long Island. She was a Registered Nurse and worked on the Cardiac Unit at Cape Canaveral Hospital before her retirement. She was also a member of Ascension Catholic Church in Melbourne.
She is survived by her sons, James Schmidt (Carol) of Melbourne, Florida, William Schmidt (Patricia) of Bellmore Long Island, New York, Daniel Schmidt (Ida) of Ronkonkoma Long Island, New York, and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, William and her sons, Robert and John.
A Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 30, 2019 from 5-7pm at the Life Event Center at Florida Memorial, 5950 US Highway 1, Rockledge, FL with a prayer service at 6pm. A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, July 1, 2019 at 10am at Ascension Catholic Church, 2950 N Harbor City Blvd, Melbourne, Florida with interment to follow in Florida Memorial Gardens.
