Jewel B. Mintz, 80, passed away March 9, 2011. Mr. Mintz was born on April 1, 1930 in Murphy, NC to Noah Mintz and Hattie Voyles. He bravely served our country in World War II, The Berlin Airlift, and two tours of duty in the Vietnam War, as a member of the U.S. Army. He came to Brevard County in 1974 from Kernersville, NC and continued to work in government as a consultant. He was a member of The Masons, Shriners, and Legion of Honor.
He is survived by son, Roland Mintz of Ft. Pierce, FL; twin brother, Gerald Mintz of OR; younger brother, Bryan Mintz of CA; extended family, Jill Cibella and Forest Miller of OH.
A visitation will take place 10-11 a.m. Monday, March 14, 2011 followed by a funeral service at 11 a.m. at Florida Memorial Funeral Home.
A true earth angel has left us to be with his beloved wife Wilma. A precious Jewel.
