Joan Marie Krzynowek

Joan was born in Goshen, New York and grew up a few miles away on an onion farm in Durlenvile, located in the famous black dirt onion region of Orange County.

Joan will be lovingly remembered by her children:

Daughter, Cindy Mitchell and her husband Master Sergeant Freddie Mitchell, Son Brian's wife Jenine Krzynowek-Smith Daughter, Lisa Smoak and her husband Bill Smoak, Daughter, Michele Mercer and her husband Alan Mercer, Son, Keith Krzynowek and his partner in life, Marina Taylor.

Joan will be missed by grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchild.. To them she is Babaka.

Cindy's children; Adam Morganroth, his wife Karen, and their daughters Reagan and Joanna and Joanna's son Danny. Melissa Mitchell (Babaka called her, her Angel) Melissa's fantastic husband Dennis, their daughter Cecilia and son Tyler. Corey Mitchell and husband Hugo Demarco. Stephanie Mitchell and her children Brooke and Timmy Flake, and Amber and Austin Fife.

Brian and Jenine's son Michael, his daughter, Payton, and nephews Brian and Eric Elliot.

Lisa and Bill's children, Travis, Troy, Jena, and Connor Smoak.

Michele and Alan's son Zachary. And especially on Christmas Eve Joan will be missed by Marina's nephew, Danny.

Joan was married for over 30 years to her polka dance partner and love of her life, United States Air Force Tech Sergeant Frank Joseph Krzynowek. Frank was raised in Chester, N. Y. on a dairy farm with his siblings Theresa, Eddie, Dolores and Walter.

Together they raised 5 children and before Frank retired from the Air Force at Patrick Air Force Base, now Space Force Base in Satellite Beach, Florida they moved and moved and moved.

First McGuire AFB, N.J. then Robins AFB Warner Robins Georgia, followed by an overseas assignment to an AFB in Morocco.

Next they moved to a large apartment house in Goshen, N.Y.,

then to Stewart Field near Newburg, N. Y. Where they owned a home in Colden Park, affectionately known as the Brown House.

They lived there for about 3 years. Of those 3 years Frank went to Florida for a month to train before going to Vietnam for a full year.

After Nam it was off to Mount Holly, N.J. where they waited in a home off base for 5 months until they could get base housing at McGuire for a second time.

Next they were headed across the country to the desert ---Edwards AFB--and the sonic booms of the Space Shuttle. After 3 years at Edwards, they choose Patrick AFB, Florida to retire from and lived on Cinnamon Dr in Satellite Beach before buying a home on Bonnie Court, Satellite Beach .

With all the moves and 5 children by the time they were living at McGuire AFB for the second time, Joan and Frank never failed to be wonderful parents. Joan kept every house spotless, and managed to get everyone to whatever Catholic church was nearby every Sunday. There was no cursing, no yelling and no one sat on a kitchen counter.

Joan had a superpower!

She had the uncanny ability to get her children enrolled and in school within 2 days of each and every move. And while the kids were in school--- bags and boxes were miraculously unpacked.

Everything had a place and everything was in it's place--always, no exceptions.

Joan was a Girl Scout Leader while Cindy was in scouts, involved in boy scouts with Brian, a cheerleader Mom while Lisa and Michele were cheerleaders and she probably smiled a little every time Keith left the house to go fishing or hunting. Then she missed him every time he headed off to be the engineer of some big ship in the Caribbean or the Gulf.

Joan was a farmer's daughter, mother, military housewife, waitress, ladies consignment store owner and always spoke highly of her children and grandchildren.

Joan is joining those who have gone on before her: her parents, Andrew and Catherine Myruski Noviski, her beloved brother, James Noviski, her Aunt Dorothy Myruski, her husband Frank Krzynowek, second husband Earl Manning, her son Frank Brian Krzynowek and her daughter Michele and son-in-law Alan's precious son Maximillian Mercer.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 2 pm, Sunday September 27, 2026 At Florida Memorial, 5950 S. US Hwy 1, Rockledge, Fl 32955

Instead of flowers, warm thoughts are very welcome.
