John O Bickley, 59, passed away on May 30, 2014 at Atlantic Shores Nursing Home in Melbourne, Fl. John was born in Espanola, New Mexico and moved to Eau Gallie with his family in 1956. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clark and Louise Bickley. John is survived by his sister, Ruth Ford; nephew, Steve Ford; nieces, Diane Ford and Maria Ford Slater; great nieces, Lauren and Emily Ford; aunts, Sybil Palmer and Jean Cogburn; and uncle Fred Pennell.
John enjoyed bowling in the "We Try Harder" league and golfing with the Special Olympics. He also enjoyed spending his time at Easter Seals and River's Edge. John's personality was infectious, as he loved everyone and was known for blowing kisses. Born with Downs Syndrome, John never stopped. He taught his family many of life's lessons, but above all, he taught us the true meaning of love.
A funeral service will be held at 11AM on Saturday, June 7, 2014 at The Life Event Center At Florida Memorial, 5950 US HWY 1, Rockledge, FL 32955, with interment to follow in Florida Memorial Gardens.
