John (Jack) Alfred Kerns, 84, of Melbourne FL, passed away peacefully on May 7th at Tuscany Villa Assisted Living Home in Rockledge, FL. Jack was born in Philadelphia, PA on April 22,1937. He graduated from Drexel University with an Electronics Engineering degree and was a member of Lambda Chi fraternity. He went on to serve as an aviator in the Army, flying air support in Vietnam. After his military service, Jack worked in International sales for Sikorsky, Pratt & Whitney, Collins and other aviation industry companies.
He met his wife Patricia in high school and they were married in November of 1958. During his life Jack traveled all over the world for both business and pleasure. He and Patricia particularly enjoyed taking cruises. Upon retiring to Melbourne in 2006 he became a proud member of the Military Officers Association of America Cape Canaveral Chapter where he served as Master at Arms for several years. He and Patricia were also members of Faith Lutheran Church of Melbourne.
He is preceded in death by his wife Patricia and younger brother Robert. He is survived by three children, his sister-in-law, three grandchildren, and three great grandchildren.
