

John David Perrot, 85, of Melbourne, Florida went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, November 11, 2020. He was born in Saginaw, Michigan on December 1, 1934. He married Ethel Hasse Perrot on July 20, 1957 in Saginaw, Michigan. John retired as an Electrical Engineer from USBI after working for over 20 years with the space program. John and his wife lived most of their married life in Satellite Beach, FL where he was actively involved with the city council. He was a member of the Azan Shriners Organization in Melbourne, FL. John’s passion, however, was the Satellite Beach Lion’s Club where he was an active member for many years and made many lifelong friendships that he treasured until his passing. He served in nearly all club positions and numerous district level positions. You could find John flipping pancakes at the annual pancake breakfast. He was very dedicated to their vision to prevent avoidable blindness and improve quality of life for people who are blind and visually impaired.
He will be forever missed by his children; Mary Jane (Scott) Harris of Fort Myers, FL, Kim (Robert) Gwaltney of Melbourne, FL, and Debbie (David) Gibson of Greensboro, NC. His grandchildren include; Lauren Harris, Jennifer (Adam) Younger, Megan Harris, Christopher (Kelye) Gwaltney, Ryan (Katie) Gwaltney, Ashley (Brandon) Walton, Aubrey (Ron) Glover, Michael Gibson, and Cameron Gibson. He also leaves behind his beloved six great grandchildren Colin and Willa Gwaltney, Brady and Griffin Younger, Hannah Harris, and Parker Glover. He is also survived by his brother Louis (Vera) Perrot. John was preceded in death by the love of his life Ethel Perrot, his parents David and Mary Perrot, and his sister Mary Lynn Hoff.
Due to COVID, there will be a private graveside service on Friday, November 20, 2020 at Florida Memorial Gardens in Rockledge, FL.
