John was a Korean and Vietnam Veteran with the U.S. Air Force for 13 years, and later retired as a Captain for Delta Airlines, flying a total of 40 years.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley Phillips; children, John (Holly) Phillips II, Kimberly Huerta, Linda (Craig) Kupec, Richard (Joyce) Phillips, and Timothy (Alicia) Phillips; grandchildren, Josh, Jackie, Douglas, Daniel, Kevin, Kaley, Craig, Brittany, Aubrey, Alexandra, Francesca, Timothy, Jean, and Nichole; great-grandchildren, Kadence, Jade, Layla, and Aiden; and a brother, Edward.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, March 8, 2015 at 2:00pm at the Life Event Center at Florida Memorial. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Space Coast Honor Flight, P.O. Box 560975, Rockledge, FL 32956, In Memory of John B. Phillips.
