complications with ALS. John is survived by his brothers, David Register and Richard Register (Ana); and sister, Patricia Poff (Mark).
John was born March 26, 1953, in Rockledge, Florida. He was a lifetime resident of Cocoa and a member of the First Baptist Church of Cocoa. He graduated with the first class of the current Cocoa High School in 1971.
He worked for over 50 years in Brevard grocery stores, starting part time at 15 with A&P in Cocoa and working for them until they closed. He then worked for almost 20 years with Winn Dixie and over 15 years with Publix. He enjoyed all of the coworkers and customers he came to know.
He was an avid reader and loved history. What brought him the most pleasure was gathering or dining out with family and friends. He will be greatly missed.
The funeral will be a private ceremony with only close family members present.
