
was born in Washington, D.C. to John K. Reynolds, Sr. and Naomi Myers Reynolds. John was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Alice Casey. He is survived by his wife, Nancy, of Melbourne; son Tony, of Melbourne; son, Jim (Diane) of Melbourne; granddaughter, Allison, of Palm Bay; grandson, Sean (Aghavni) of Melbourne; and several nieces and nephews.
He graduated Washington-Lee High School in Arlington, VA, in 1948 and joined the United States Air Force, serving as a meteorologist. He retired from the service in 1968 at the rank of Technical Sergeant. In 1952 he married Nancy Richardson, his wife of 58 years, in Decatur, Illinois. The family lived in Illinois and Alabama, and then in the Melbourne area since 1965. His military service took him to Iwo Jima, Alaska, and Korea. After leaving the service John worked for Western & Southern Life Insurance, the Coca-Cola Bottling Company of Cocoa, Pan Am World Services, and Raytheon Corporation at Patrick
Air Force Base. John was a graduate of Brevard Community College with a degree in Hospitality Management. He was a member of Advent Lutheran Church in Suntree, and a proud V-Cop for the Melbourne Police Department. Visitation is Tuesday, September 21, from 7:00 pm to 8:30pm at Florida Memorial Funeral Home, 5950 S. US 1, in Rockledge. Services will be on Wednesday, September 22 at 2:00pm at the funeral home, followed by interment at Florida Memorial Gardens.
