

Joseph S. Prycodzien, 90, of Cocoa, FL, passed away peacefully on December 8, 2024 at Orlando Hospital, Rockledge Florida, after prolonged illness. Born January 4, 1934, he was the son of the late Ignatius Prycodzien and Caeclia (Elsie) Anastasia (Veno) Prycodzien.
Joe graduated Norwalk High School, Norwalk Ct, in 1952. In 1977, he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, majoring in Management, from Nova Southeastern University, FL. Joe was retired and had worked previously for several companies, in several different roles, including Accountant, Human Resources Manager, and Auditor. Joe was a veteran who served proudly in the 4th Howitzer Battalion, 40th Field Artillery of the US Army and US Army Reserves, and was Honorably discharged from active duty Aug 4, 1962.
In 1956, Joe married the love of his life, Doris Mary Pauline Gelinas and together they officially shared 68 years of enduring love, constant faith, and close companionship. They shared a love for travel, and visited countries all over the world, including many trips to their ancestral home, Italy, which was their favorite place to visit.
Joe is survived by his wife Doris, and their beloved goddaughter Sandra Robidas Gausch, her husband Eric Gausch, both of Merrimack, NH, their two sons, Maxwell Gausch of Wake Forest, NC, Ian Gausch of Encinitas, CA, and many close friends, neighbors, and travel companions. He is predeceased by his brother Franc Prycodzien.
Services: In accordance with his wishes there will be no services at this time. Assisting with the arrangements is the Life Event Center at Florida Memorial Gardens, in Rockledge, FL. Following committal prayers, Joe will be interred at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Mausoleum in North Lauderdale, FL, where he’ll peacefully wait to be rejoined with his lifelong companion, fellow traveler, and beloved wife, Doris, for their next journey together.
