

Mr. Redmond, son of Sarah and Simon Redmond, was born May 12, 1930 in Marion County, GA. He lived in Georgia until moving to Florida in 1963. He was an automotive mechanic by trade and at times owned several Phillips 66 service stations. He also worked servicing the truck fleets for Burnup & Sims and B.L. Bennett cable companies. Joseph also served his country in the Army during the Korean Conflict, 1951-1953. In his free time he enjoyed fishing, video slots, and motorcycles.
Survivors include his wife of 25 years, Jeanette; three children, Wanda Redmond of Merritt Island, Joseph “Buddy” Redmond, Jr. of Jacksonville, and Donna Zink of Orlando; four step-children, Joseph Chausse of North Carolina, Susan Tunnell of Tennessee, Sherri Mc Adams of Merritt Island and Sharon Chausse of Ormond Beach; six siblings, Evelyn Kelly, James Redmond, Betty Moody, Ralph Redmond, and Walter Redmond of Georgia and Sarah Glowacki of Boynton Beach; 10 grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Services are planned at Florida Memorial Gardens on March 10, 2015. Visitation at 2pm with services following at 3pm. Committal will follow with military honors.
