Mom, 
Yesterday was 5 weeks since your passing. There are reminders of you everywhere.  I’m relieved that you are finally at peace, but I’ll never stop missing you. Your absence in our lives is hugely felt. As one of your favorites, Perry Como, used to sing “Once upon a time, the world was sweeter than we knew “.

Dear Mom, 
It’s taken me a while to find the right words to express what I’m feeling.  There are so many shared and wonderful memories.  It’s impossible to list them all, but I want to try to mention some of them: 
Our childhood in Tonawanda and for all the holidays that were made special, Our summers at Silver Lake, Your trip to Miami with me for my interview at Baptist Hospital and to help me find my first apt., Our annual Disney trips for the Food & Wine Festival and to see all the Christmas decor.  Our vacations in Miami and Melbourne, Your many talents- cooking, sewing, knitting, crocheting, gardening, ceramics, your love of decorating for every holiday!  I’m in awe of all you did and you did everything so well! Our many shopping sprees together and last, but not least, our football Sundays. Let’s Go Buffalo! Josephine was very talented and  no more so than with the various items she made on her sewing machine. At Burger King we would meet in a conference room and Daryl would have many items her mother had designed and sewn on display and ready to be purchased by Daryl's friends. My house has many items she made for the various holidays. Jo even dressed Patty (my goose) with lovely clothes. 
Jo loved her family and they loved her. She will be missed by all who knew her.
Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, love leaves a memory no one can steal.

Although it has been years since I saw you, the memories are vivid and close to my heart. 
The times Rae and I spent with you as children were some of the best memories I have of my beautiful cousin. 
You will be missed but knowing you are free from illness and with your loved ones gives comfort and peace.

Oh my dearest sister💕I remember the first time Ron brought you to our Tremont home to meet the family. I was 11 years old and I hid in the kitchen overwhelmed by your beauty (like a movie star) and mesmerized by that Italian accent! It didn’t take me long to adore you and feel so special by your loving attention to me. That day was 70 years ago. There is not room to say all that is in my heart nor begin to retell memories. They will remain with me until we meet again. I learned so much at your side from how to change a baby diaper to how to make meatballs! Our days together being sisters were the most blessed gift God could choose for me. 
Thank you for giving me the most beautiful nieces and nephews an Auntie could have. I treasure each of them and I promise you to watch over them until we are all together again. I love you the mostest my precious. I rejoice you are pain free and no more sadness. Give my big brother a hug from me. I know he is dancing with you as I write this. I adore you my love❤️🙏

As soon as I heard of Mrs. Culp's passing, memories of the times Daryl had brought her mom and dad to visit at Burger King Corporation in Miami, FL where Daryl worked came flooding back to my mind.  Daryl's parents were such a lovely couple, but Josephine was a very special lady.  She had a way about her, that even meeting her for the first time, you felt as if you were family.  Such a witty sense of humor, caring, talented, and creative (oh, the crafts she made!) and she LOVED her family!  Now, 11 years later, she's finally together again with Ronald.  They've got a lot of catching up to do!  
Eternal rest grant unto her, O Lord, and may perpetual light shine upon her.

Mom - I don't know how I am going to live without you.  I have so many good memories and am so grateful that you lived a long and wonderful life.  I cherish all the time I had with you, especially having 11 more years since dad passed and more recently, the last 4 years since Renee and I retired.  Even though I am heartbroken, at the same time, I know how lucky I was to have you for so long.  It's just hard to let go after all this time.  I will always remember our fun times growing up; your amazing cooking; the many family gatherings; all the crafts that you made that you shared with us and our friends; and how special you made the holidays.  I will miss having you at our football gatherings.  A lot of many great memories there.  I'm so happy you got to enjoy your grandchildren and your great grandson!  I have received so many messages of people who never met you who expressed their love for you.  That means so much to me.  I love you mom. Love always, Daryl
