For the gift of life.
For all the diapers you changed.
For teaching us how to walk and how to talk.
For bundling us up when it was cold and making lemonade when it was hot.
For all the breakfasts, lunch, and dinners you make for us.
For the million dishes you washed and the untold laundries you did.
For nurturing us back to health when we were sick.
For staying up all night and saying rosaries when I was at death’s door.
For warning us of danger and keeping us safe from harm.
For always coming to our defense.
For bailing us out when we were struggling.
For the great Christmas gifts and Thanksgiving feasts that you prepared.
For the kisses and hugs that eased the pain of the cuts and bruises and broken bones.
For your consoling words when our hearts were broken.
For doing without so we did not have to.
For the gift of compassion.
For the love you gave without condition that seemed to come from a bottomless well.
Mother please forgive your three sons for any pain we caused you.
Until we meet again in eternity.
Love, Neil, Mike and Jim
