Ken was born on August 1, 1946 in Hershey, Pennsylvania, the son of Clair and Beatrice Dunk.
Ken graduated from Palmyra High School in 1964 before enlisting in the United States Air Force, where he served until his honorable discharge in 1990. Following his military service, he began a career with the Florida Department of Corrections. Ken earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of Maryland and went on to complete a Masters of Science degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Central Florida.
Ken married Kathleen [Getz] Dunk on September 11, 1971 in Lebanon, Pennsylvania and they shared a long and happy marriage of 54 years.
Ken found joy in the simple things—tossing a perfect cornhole shot, savoring a cold beer, cheering on the Yankees, and soaking up the easygoing spirit of Key West. He leaves behind a legacy of laughter, laid-back days, and a reminder to enjoy life just as it comes.
