He came to Florida from Missouri in 1966 leaving behind his parents and three brothers to begin a new life. He followed his best friend Ralph Anderson to Florida to escape the cold weather. Together they joined a dive club called the Scuba Sharks where they met Ed & Bev Brawner. Ralph soon met Donna and they married. They all became life long friends.
He had a passion for cars and was an impeccable auto mechanic. He started his career at Bishops Gulf in Cocoa Beach and later purchased Re-Nu Automotive on N. Banana River Blvd in Cocoa Beach serving the community until he retired in 2014.
Larry was everything a great father and grandfather could be! In addition to being a wonderful man, he was the best husband to our mother in every way possible, and he was always there for her until she left to be with our Lord three years ago- a true love story. Larry is and will always be loved and appreciated for who he was, and for all he has given through the years. Rest easy dad, and enjoy peace and eternal time with mom - she has been waiting for you to come home.
He is survived by his brothers, Robin Tucker (Kathy) and Wayne Tucker (Kiku); stepdaughter, Gina Kittrell; son-in-law, Emile Perras; stepson, Rodney Kernan (Shara); granddaughters, Brittney, Brianna and Brayleah Kernan, and several nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by his brother, Orison Tucker.
A Visitation will be held Saturday, July 18, 2020 starting at 9:00am with a Memorial Service to follow at 10:00am in the Life Event Center at Florida Memorial, 5950 South US Highway 1, Rockledge, FL.
