Leslie S. Dempsey, 61, of Grant-Valkaria, passed away Thursday, April 12, 2012. She was born in Beaver Dam, WI, and graduated from Beaver Dam High School. Leslie moved to Brevard County in 1980 from Vermont.
Through the years she worked as an administrative assistant for Brevard County Schools and later for Harris Corporation. Leslie had a joyful spirit and loved to laugh. She was renowned for her holiday baking, which was always eagerly anticipated by friends and family. Leslie was a devoted wife and mother.
Survivors include her son, Seth (Allison) Dempsey. Also surviving are her brothers, Roger (Anna) Saterstrom and Eric Saterstrom; three nieces and two nephews, as well as many friends.
Leslie was predeceased by her parents, Thomas and Mary Saterstrom, and her sister, Patrice Turan.
A memorial service for family and close friends will be held at St. John's Episcopal Church, Saturday, April 21.
