

Linda D. Smith, 80, of Cocoa, Florida, went to be with the Lord on July 2, 2025. She was born in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Her family later moved to Brevard County, where she attended Cocoa High School.
A dedicated and hardworking woman, Linda held many jobs throughout her life, including at Chicken Box, Krystal’s, Publix, 7-11, and ultimately retired from Walmart. She was a social butterfly who made lifelong friends wherever she worked.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Glenn Smith; her parents, Benjamin and Donnie Marie Dempsey; her sisters, Lucy "Dolores" Holliday, Virginia “JoAnn” Kitsmiller, and Wanda “Sue” Adkins; her daughter, Kym Leach; and her granddaughter, Linda Mincey.
Linda is survived and greatly missed by her sister, Donna “DeeDee” Rauner, and brother-in-law, Tony Rauner; her daughter, Cathy Stevenson; her daughter and son-in-law, Ruth and Don Browning; and six grandchildren: Bryan Mincey and his wife, Ashley; Rebecka Stephens and her husband, Patrick; Ashley Stevenson; Madison Leach; Brittney Browning; and Benjamin Browning. She also leaves behind ten great-grandchildren: Tommy, Korry, Olivia, and Lindsey Mincey; Lance, Alura, and Jace Stephens; Connor and Weston Stevenson; and Mason Leach- all of whom brought her great pride and joy.
Her joy, resilience, and kindness touched many lives, and her memory will be forever cherished.
A public visitation will be held on Saturday, July 12th at the Life Event Center at Florida Memorial (5950 S US Hwy 1, Rockledge, Florida) from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m., with funeral services to follow. A graveside service will take place at 4:00 p.m.
