Linda Irene Underwood

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Linda Irene Underwood, who left us on February 5, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born on May 1, 1940, in Stewartstown, NH, Linda spent her final moments at home in Cocoa, Florida, surrounded by her beloved family.

Linda's life was marked by her unwavering strength, kindness, and love for her family. Her spirited nature and compassionate heart touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. Despite the challenges she faced, Linda always found joy in the simple pleasures of life and remained a pillar of strength for her loved ones.

Linda was well known for her volunteer activities and was twice awarded the Volunteer of the Year award at her Westminster Asbury community for all the hours of volunteer work including running an exercise program, manning the desk and welcoming new residents. Her warmth and welcoming smile will be missed by all.

Linda was predeceased by her husband Murray “Tex” Underwood, her son, Phillip Underwood, and siblings Faye Marley, Terry Farrar, Cedric Farrar, and Sharelle Allen.

She is survived by her sons, Clifton “Kip” Cilley (Joanne) of Palm Coast, FL and Murray Underwood of Stuart, FL, her daughter, Mary Anne Sledzinski of North Conway, NH, her grandchildren Sonjia Dawley (Casey) of Syracuse, NY, Kaden Underwood of Melbourne, FL, Damon Underwood of Orlando, FL and great grandson Avery Dawley of Syracuse, NY as well as siblings, Curtis Farrar, Michael Farrar, Pat Gould, Kelly Coco, Kathy Haynes and Wendy Gould.

A memorial service will be held at Cocoa Presbyterian Church, 1404 Dixon Blvd, Cocoa, FL on Sunday, February 9 at noon.

Linda's memory will be cherished by all who knew her, and her legacy of love and resilience will continue to inspire those she leaves behind.
