Loren E. Walters, 85, of Melbourne, Retired Air Force and Civil Servant, passed away on Friday, August 13, 2010. He was born in Cumberland County, IL and came to Brevard County in 1986 from Virginia. He is survived by one daughter, Karen Wood of Hawley, PA; son, Robert Walters of Melbourne; three grandchildren, John Walters, Alison Wonch, and Jeffrey Walters; and one great-granddaughter, Abigail Wonch. A visitation will be held Friday, August 20 from 1:00 - 2:30 p.m. at Florida Memorial Funeral Home with a funeral service immediately following at 2:30 p.m. in the chapel. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Lorens memory to either Orsino Baptist Church or the Disabled American Veterans.
